Your environment! Are you aware of it?
We do not always look at the things around us through our environmental eyes.
Any environment can be a toxic environment. Your work place, your home, your relationships, other people’s spaces, anywhere.
Even the grocery store can be a toxic environment. Any place that makes you feel uncomfortable, drained, or out of sorts can be considered a toxic environment.
Looking into where you’re spending your time and why it might be affecting you in a negative way may benefit you if you feel tired and drained after being there, or around certain people.
Environments where we spend our time should make us feel good and alive, not drained and old.
While at work get in tune with yourself. Find out if your working in a toxic environment and then make the changes you need.
Toxic environments can make us feel unwell, undervalued, unloved, uncomfortable and saddest and perhaps most serious of all, un-alive.
We have instincts for a reason. They are there to help you help yourself more effectively.
Once you know how you feel, take a look around and assess things a little. How effective is your boss and their leader skills? How professional is the work atmosphere? Is your boss supportive of you? How do you feel there? Are you happy?
Do you ever find yourself wondering how toxic your environment is?
